This is exactly why Chinese Medicine is such a fascinating course of study!

Firstly, they seem to have cool names for everything...

my favourite "herb" name wise would be E Jiao a.k.a 'ASS HIDE GLUE' e.g donkey skin gelatin -this herb with its cloying nature is good for moistening dryness)

The acupuncture point names are just as good if not better- my favourite so far would be KD6 a.k.a 'SHINING SEA' how pretty is that! (this point boosts the body's fluids).

My other and possibly most favourite acupoint name would be GB30 a.ka 'JUMPING CIRCLE' - so called cos if you get prodded in your butt cheek like you do- you end up jumping!!! LOL how cute is that?!

In any case, currently on this intermittent day of rain shine rain I've been reading up on the Kidney organ in Chinese Medicine and came across some amusing information:

Here are snippets:

Ancient Chinese Wisdom advises:
Excessive sexual indulgence by males is considered to be a MAJOR HEALTH HAZARD lol don't say I didn't warn you!

Chinese literature broaches the subject through very creative imaginative stories with colourful plotlines as follows:

"The Epic Ming Dynasty novel Flower in the Golden Vase narrates the story of the erotomaniac Ximen Qing who peddles his money and political influence to assemble a harem of six women, then resorts to tonic drugs to bolster his flagging virility, and finally comes to a horrid end after a final ejaculation of "mercury-like fluid" followed by blood and a gust of cold air...

To avoid such a Gruesome Death, the handsome protagonist of the second moralist novel of the Ming dynasty Prayer Mat of Flesh decided to become a Buddhist hermit, cut off his surgically amplified penis, and utilise his jing(life essence which is the basis of semen) for spiritual cultivation".

LOL talk about interesting Sunday afternoon reading ;)
